Quick Start Guide
Get your team up and running with Work Games in under 10 minutes.
Step 1: Create Your Organization
- Sign up at workgames.com
- Create your organization — this is your company or group
- Choose a plan (all plans include a 14-day free trial)
- Complete the onboarding flow
Step 2: Create a Team
- Navigate to Teams → Create Team
- Name your team and set a team slug (URL identifier)
- Invite team members by email
- Assign roles — Team Leader has management permissions
Step 3: Set Up Your Workspace
- Create goals — define what your team is working toward
- Add tasks — populate your backlog with work items. Assign effort estimates (XP) to each task
- Create a sprint (optional) — timebox a set of tasks for focused delivery
- Prioritize — drag tasks to set priority order on the board
Step 4: Plan Your First Day
- Go to My Day — your personal daily board
- Add tasks from the backlog, goals, or sprint to your daily plan
- Set your daily goal line — choose how much you want to accomplish today
- Lock in — commit to your daily goal to earn bonus XP and participate in team quests
- Toggle game mode on or off depending on your preference
Step 5: Complete Tasks and Earn XP
- Work through your daily tasks
- Mark tasks as complete — each completion earns XP
- If team quests are active, completed tasks "attack" the quests
- At the end of your day, report your perceived difficulty (easy / normal / hard / very hard)
- Complete your daily goal to earn bonus XP and maintain your streak
Step 6: Start Team Quests (Optional)
- The team leader goes to Team's Day → Co-Op tab
- Press Start Day (at least one member must have locked in)
- Review the AI-generated quest suggestion
- Accept, modify, or refine the suggestion
- Team members defeat quests by completing their daily tasks
